Anyone know if this is true?

I'm assuming he meant pot alone not pot mixed with crack, heroine, shrooms, alcohol, etc.

Although I don't smoke, if the claim is true, it does make you wonder about the wisdom of the current marijuana prohibition laws...
Dr. Lester Grinspoon, an emeritus professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School who has been researching cannabis for 40 years, says he has yet to encounter a case of marijuana causing a death, even from lung cancer.

I took it from this amazing 3 part article of a woman who gives her 9 year old autistic child medical marijuana cookies to treat his issues
