    Bounced Twistys Checks

    Anyone else have their most recent affiliate check from Twistys bounce? My bank informed me today that the checked they mailed to me on April 12, was "returned" ... in addition to the loss of the check, my bank assessed a $10.00 "Return Fee".

    Not happy.

              Return fees are fucking bullshit. Like it's not bad enough the check bounces the bank smacks you with fees as if you should have known better.

                                                  I understand the importance of letting the webmaster community know about bad checks or companies not paying. But did you really have to come to GFY when Twisty's support is unparalleled and Shap the owner is a gfy member.

                                                  These things do happen for many different reasons but coming to GFY to say Twisty's checks are bouncing seems like your stiring the pot. Contacting Twisty's support could have saved this whole thread from happening.

                                                          BTW if it was an NSF it would have been a 30 NSF fee not a 10 return fee which we will be more than happy to compensate you for just include the copy of the cost to me in the email.

                                                                                                  Sponsors always replace bad checks , they don't always pay the bounce fee's, nor do they pay the bounce fee's on other checks written on the funds that should have been there. ( this can be very very important to those starting out ) Had a very bad experience years and years ago when adult was just starting on the net, this kind of thread would have saved my ass. I had recieved a large check from a sponsor ( first big "free" check ) went out and bought a shitload of stuff for my new apartment, next day get a call from the bank, the check had bounced , and so had all my checks because i didn't have enough to cover the bounced check. They put my thousand dollar air conditioner through but bounced all the small ones. So my $5 dishtowel turned into a $5 dish towel with a $25 bounce fee to the bank and a $25 bounce fee to the store. Total cost $55 for a $5 dishtowel, there were dozens of purchases like that, basically everything i bought cost me + $50

                                                                                                      Follow up .. ICQ-ing with the Twistys rep .. they are looking into it. Was able to get additional details from my bank which I forwarded as well.

                                                                                                      I am very sorry if I showed bad form. Twistys track record has always been stellar. I just saw this on my online statement this morning and I just freaked. Bad timing I guess .. happens I'm doing battle with other sponsors who are delinquent in paying .. felt like I was just getting piled on I guess.

                                                                                                      Again, apologies for typing before I thought.

I contacted Shap and it was taken care of ASAP. Don't worry you will get paid. Banks are weird sometimes with checks from diff countries.

It happens. I have done this for over 10 years and have gotten a bad cehck from almost everyone i do business with. shit happens but its always been resolved. If you have 1000s of affialtes like i am sure twistys does that just makes it that much easier for shit to go wrong hehe

I'm moving more and more to wires or ePass, but like I said Twistys has always been very reliable, so it never has been an issue. This was like a punch in the gut from your best friend, totally unexpected.

                                                                                                                              Funny thing .. it's not that big a check. I'm sure it will be taken care of eventually, just not a good way to spend a morning.

I've had affiliates think our checks bounced, but in reality they were always incorrectly authorized - either they forgot to sign and popped it in the ATM, or signed their name instead of the business name, etc etc.

                                                                                                                                                  Give us your epass and we will pay right away or switch to it, this is an issue not with us, that I wont go into on the message boards however any affiliate of Twistys should check their email for an announcement concerning this.

                                                                                                                                                      The only people that say do NOT bring it to GFY are the people that like to sit around forever hoping they will get their money. Pretty much every site has contact info but it is not my responsibility to wait around for them to get back to me. If they bounced a check to me they knew about it days before I did and should have contacted me. They chose not to contact me and rectify the issue so screw waiting on them. They are already late with the payment to me.
