nope, its burned in there on the way the tv works, you will get used to it

Make sure you are not watching it with contrast at 100% and brightness up high. That will make the burn-in happen quicker. Often sets will come from the factory set on the "dynamic" setting, or whatever they happen to call it, which will have those settings way too high. Best to try to calibrate it with a calibration DVD, or just set it to "movie" mode.

Sounds like a clear explaination from someone who had the same problem. Will set that right away and let's see what happens...

There should also be some burn in protection, like pixel shifting that you should turn on if its not allready.
