Geez.. another look into the world of poker payment processing.
And it's another case of an under-30 scammer-punk single-handedly running a payment processing company that shipped out over $500 million.
I like how the guy rolled poker sites for $100 million, and they had no choice but to just STFU about it and take it in the ass, since the sites themselves are illegal in the US. Kinda reminds me of drug deals gone bad.
How did this idiot lose so much money? Payment processing for online gambling is pretty much a ticket to easy millions. The only downside is the risk of getting arrested and rotting in jail for many years. But no payment processor should find itself in the red unless it's managed horribly.
It sounds like this guy had a big spending problem, so he probably blew all of the money he made, plus whatever he stole.
People said that online poker would become legal, with Obama taking office. It hasn't improved one bit. The sick thing is that he probably would have been ok if he just stayed out of the USA. This is why many US citizens that have any stake in online casinos/poker sites stay the hell out of the country.
I have always wonder how the crew at Full Tilt Poker, Phil Ivey, etc has gotten away with it all these years.. I think their days are numbered.Comment
