Checking, MC, Discover, phone billing, etc. Overall you would see a drop in sales, but an increase in transactions going through the other billing options. Common sense here man.

                I'm all for competition. MC seems to be chipping away. It's really not a matter of opinion anyway. It's a fact that no one is able to compete with Visa. Just look at how many major cc companies there are. I think attempting to compete with them is an unrealistic idea to begin with. Especially with some adult porn card gimmick. If you're in a position where launching a credit card company is even viable, adult internet is the least of your worries.

                    But the problem with the load and spend aproch is that you are sending the cusotmer on a 2 step proces. What every one has found out is that even with the 15% payment you pay + the charge back fees etc etc cusotmers like to spend money on Visa and not any other way.

                    Its just what people are used to. Go to UK and you will see people using SMS payment and not using a Visa (even if they have one) and SMS billing cost like 4 times more then what you will pay on Visa but they still use it becauase they are used to it

                                                                                        I think we desperately need to be independant from visa. Someone needs to step up and start thier own adult friendly credit card company that actually loans the money out, and is not visa backed. Loan the money out and make it functional like paypal and have it work with nats, ccbill, etc.. and i think it will be an instant overnight success, make billions. It is proven lending (credit companies) make bank. This company would make money on both sides, collecting interest from the users and making a transaction fee for the website owners. Got to love making money on both sides.

                                                                                        The problem is very few people have the finances or can raise the VC to pull off a project like this.

                                                                                                                I think it would be nice if there was a great alternative to Visa that was in the hands of as many users as own a Visa. But, the incentive to create it is not that big, until Visa actually pulls out. Then, a card that can be loaded by any credit card will thrive, IMO.
