Well I got the email a few hours ago but hadn't checked my personal email.
Just got the call from them and apparently - you can push all your domains once you open your Enom account and they are not charging you anything - they are respecting the Registerfly prices & agreements.

Also - you have a month to act

I disagree. I transferred away 2 domains from Registerfly back in 2002, and it took 3 weeks and over 30 emails back and forth with support to get my domains unlocked. They were terrible even back in 2002.

The best news ive heard all day.

I registered a few domains with them over a year ago. Their website kept breaking down and they charged my credit card without renewing my domains. When I asked for support they sent me some canned answers about a totally different thing.

The fly got zapped. you will not be missed.

It's true: They've sucked ass for some time, and it's been a steady jump off the cliff ever since.

I think you are right. A friend of mine has the same issue. 4+ year old domains that have been renewed after ICANN became accredited and his whois says RegisterFly.

                            Just got this from Registerfly:
                            ----------------------------------
Discontinuation of using reseller services with enom.com

We are aware that enom may have sent a notice in regards to the relationship between enom/registerfly.

As of February 2006 RegisterFly.com become an ICANN Accredited registrar. We formerly used to resell domain services under enom.com but stopped accepting registrations for them on February of 2006 (1 year ago). Since we are ICANN Accredited we have no need to process new registrations/transfers under enom anymore and spent the past year moving large numbers of names away from enom.com to RegisterFly.com. The amount of names remaining at enom.com is relatively small. Any registrations/transfers after February 1st 2006 are directly under RegisterFly.com, inc. which would not be affected by this.

Our top priority is ensuring our customers are not impacted in anyway during this transition. If you are a registerFly.com customer, rest assured we value your business and strive to offer the lowest possible pricing with the best online tools. For a limited time you can renew/transfer your name away from enom.com for only $5.99 per domain name. One year will be added upon
completion of the transfer. If you decide to stay with enom as the registrar you will pay considerably higher to renew than the special $5.99 rate we are offering. You can contact our customer care center at 305-674-0165 (8AM to 9PM) or via email at [email protected] on specifics on how to move your domain name(s) over and take advantage of these special savings today.

If you call within the next 48 hours and take advantage of this offer you will be eligible to receive an additional $7.99 account credit towards next years renewal.

While I am glad to see eNom take action against RegisterFly, they really have a stupid migration system. First, their email nor link does not tell you what domain(s) this is in regards to nor does it provide any means to use an existing eNom account to access ones domains. Next they appear to be sending out separate emails for each contact email address so if you use more than one you will get more than one email all requireing creation of new accounts at eNom. Finally, I created two duplicate accounts to see what domains it was in regards to and both domains turned out to have been transfered from RegisterFly to a completely different registrar almost a year ago.

All domains registered after February 2006 is with registerfly, but all domains you have renewed! since then might not! been transfered, hence why alot of domains are still with eNom. Every time I have renewed a batch of domains with registerfly over the past year, I would say between 50-70% has been labeled as transfers while the other has been labeled renewals.

^Same here. Tons of failed transfers all the time. I had to try multiple times before I got them "transfered"/renewed. I really was not aware how severe the situation was.

Are you sure about that? I would think eNom has access to the "real" information on domains actually registered through them, whether it is through them directly or one of their resellers.

I'm not sure about that, but I believe it.
Because of the ongoing problems with registerfly I decided to transfer my domain names to other registrars. Everytime I have to renew a domain I disable protectfly and transfer the domain name to an other company. Yesterday I did the same for one domain, but I didn't transfer it until now. For this domain I got the Enom notification, for the others, protected by protectfly, not.
Registerfly seems not to redirect the spamfly.com email addresses to your email account.

I have never transfered a domain from registerfly to another registrar so i cant argue that with you. But the current situation is not transfers of domain to another registrar, the domains in question on each account here is actually a push action. I would guess... maybe you have to unlock a domain to be able to push it to another account, but i dont think the privacy service will interfere as to me i would think eNom has the real email address just as registerfly has.

I guess we just have to wait and see.

they finally dropped registerfly and a little while ago they bought out bulkregister.com, my registrar of choice. Enom has it's shit together.

kinda wish they'd just have left bulkregister.com alone though...

It just stated me to contact their support but.... ya that failed so far. and its been like 2 days now.

And why am I suppose to contact their damn support if I happen to have too many domains for the automatic push? why the fuck dont they just straight out tell me what they need me to do....

right now eNom is not doing a much better impression on me than registerfly.

Just got the call from them and apparently - you can push all your domains once you open your Enom account and they are not charging you anything - they are respecting the Registerfly prices & agreements.

Also - you have a month to act
Yeah well I am waiting to see if they will drop this $160 per domain in redemption bullshit before I deal with enom.

Enom wants all my renewal business, but is holding 10 sites hostage for $160 each which are sites I paid to renew through registerfly but slipped past the 29 days because registerfly didn't pay enom. Enom CANNOT profit from my sites and steal my traffic and hold the sites hostage for a crazy price, when they are honoring registerfly's pricing to take in all this juicy renewal business.

I'm threatening them with litigation if they do not work with me and give me back my ten sites for a reasonable amount. They are fucking crooks too and I urge all of you to be weary just pushing your sites to them as well.

Enom has terminated their business with registerfly and trying to clean up the mess, well they owe me my sites back or I am going for their throat because if they don't work with me now then they are scammers too.

Good luck everyone else who got burned.
