2TB is biggest for now. you can get NAS/servers that can get you 46TB out of 1 machine rather easily, what are you using to get only 12TB?

Yeah 24 bay SAN's, i have one arriving now.
However i was simply wondering whether bigger drives were in the works, tech moves so fast right now that i would hate to stick 2TB drives in there to find out bigger drives were on the way.

As for the 12TB the last we bought was a Qnap 802-U 8 bay NAS
Stuck 1,5TB drives in there ONE WEEK before 2TB drives were released lol

I was talking to my back end techs (my hosting company) yesterday about this very issue.

How to get all the content easily accessible for clients from content deals, to their hosting and servers without drives and long download. For those who do the payment plan, they have those contracts. So they have to be on my hosting while making payments. So that makes it easier for the transfer of files in that regard.

Best we could think of, at this time, was a server with a lot of rack space for 4-8+ huge drives. Setting up a server for something like that with each content package. This would make the set up of the new tube sites, with content, much easier to install and get them up and running faster.

        Sig.

That's really your only option now ...a NAS/SAN setup with more HDD bays. I'm sure they are working on something larger than 2TB...
          i need money.

I would send those green drives back. They are crap. Absolute crap. At the minimal use the WD blue, Black if possible and if you want to do it right, use the RE3 drives.

This cannot be overstated but skip WD Blue and go with WD Black or better.
