find a good local butcher.... its still going to be pricey, but good meat is good meat and you get what you pay for... in the Detroit area, I highly recommend Jacks Meat Market in Novi, the guy is 3rd or 4th generation butcher and hish prices arent bad....Comment

Split vote, will say yes if they are intended for a gift for others. No if for personal consumption unless you have no access to a local butcher which is very damn rare. Just because the quality although good is below average when it comes to what you get from a quality butcher and the price is much higher than what a butcher would charge you.Comment

I got one of the big packages for a gift, it was damn goodCarbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants

If you can buy them with a special (which they seem to have every 15 minutes or so that they email or call me about) they are OK.
A local butcher can cut you much better steaks, IMO. We actually hit the big time recently and there's a meat shop that opened about 30 minutes from here. Yipee!

I bought Omaha Steaks a few times and I think they're very good.
There is one bad thing about them though is that they get persistant after you place a couple of orders and I think my mistake was making an order with them after they called me to sell me more, since then, they'd call and I'd say that I wasn't ready for more, so they'd say "we'll call you in a couple of weeks" or offer to take the order and send it at a later date. It got rediculas because they'd call again and again, even multiple times a day.Comment
