When I was a youth I remember sitting cross legged on the floor of my living-room watching my moms black and white console TV with the turntable on top watching a Saturday Matinée movie as I did almost every Saturday. But by the end of Old Yeller my eyes were streaming with tears and I was flat out bawling. My mom yelled at my brother thinking he had smacked me or something but in reality it was all about a boy and his dog.
I have seen a ton of those types of movies since but nothing came close to the tear jerking ability that Yeller had on me.
Then I watch Hachi today with my dinner and if my two sons (ages 14 and 20) and my wife of 23 years had not been sitting around me I think I may have regressed to sitting on my moms floor bawling my eyes out.
Do NOT watch this video with anyone you want to look cool in front of, you won't be able to esp if you are a dog lover (I own 3). But if you don't mind leaky eyes, sniffles and have a dog to sit on your lap while you pet the fuck out of them, this is a great flick
