my bank (chase) blocked epassporte (update)

I resolved the issues with my bank and I am able to use epassporte again.

I was previously with Bank One and had no problems with epass. When Chase bought bank one I tried to signup my new check cards and i wasn't receiving the 2 small deposits i needed to verify the card. I called the 800# on the card and I was told that epass was used for gambling and they did not allow any transaction with them.

I didn't have the time to persue this so for a while i used paypal or wires to send money. Over the last couple months I have come across more and more situations where epass was the only viable option for me to send. After a few days of talking to my local bank they have allowed me to use epassporte with my account. I didn't even have to threaten to pull accounts.

If anyone else has problems with epass and your bank you should be able to work it out.

I still think its a bad thing that the banks (and other organizations) are associating epass with gambling.

Seems like a matter of time before the same thing happens to them that happened to Netteller.

loading money into epassporte is nightmare, wireing money out of the states is no fun, not to count that it cost and arm and a leg to put anything in there...
