as much as i would like to drink tap water, it always tastes like chlorine. even when I use the brita filter, it still has that taste. for whatever reason, bottled water doesn't taste like this. i'd drink tap water again if they would treat it like the bottled water people do (reverse osmosis or whatever).you don't know you're wearing a leash if you sit by the peg all day..Comment

I just got a new fridge with built in filtered water, and its been a joy around my house not having to deal with empty Poland Spring bottles all over the fucking place. I also feel better about not contributing more mass to that mythical island of plastic that's supposedly floating around the ocean somewhere.

Chlorine smell/taste usually disipates with 24 hours of evaporation. If not, then you are probably close to your local water facility. They "dose" water based on the FURTHEST run of pipe. They need that longest, farthest away faucet to be potable. So if you are close to the "dosing" source, then you get stronger doses naturally. Your local water boards website will have the location of all of your local facilities.
An RO filter is only $100 or so, and anyone who can turn a knob can install it in a few minutes.43-922-863 Shut up and play your guitar.

No doubt about it. I hope she isn't scared for death. When you get this personal with the mon$ey made in certain industries. They may reach their "boiling" temprature, and when they do...you are a sleep. ;)Comment

I didn't think I'd watch the whole thing, really interesting video. A lot of good points and that doesn't happen just with water, they sale everything and make a huge profit with other products.Comment

Excellent video to post.
I'm drinking bottled water right now. But that's because I'm in a 3rd world country.
When I'm in the USA (or Western Europe or Japan), I only occasionally have bottled water for on-the-go convenience, but otherwise I drink tap water mostly all day long at home. I have never made bottled water my primary water source.I don't always drink beer, but when I do, I wish I was drinking wine instead.Comment

I thought Poland Spring was only a northeast thing. It's easily one of my favorites, right behind Luso (portugal)I just got a new fridge with built in filtered water, and its been a joy around my house not having to deal with empty Poland Spring bottles all over the fucking place. Just remember, the same type of incompetent management that bankrupted the state and city you live in is also in charge of turning sewage into drinking water. Drink up!jim (at) amateursconvert . com Amateurs ConvertComment
