There were talks maybe a year or so ago that they were going to start processing for adult but it didn't happen.
I use paypal for b2b transactions but as an operator of sites with recurring memberhip fees it's really not worth the hassle.
Paypal never had their shit together, there were always issues with the data where accounts would fall through the cracks. Rebills would fail for various reasons or customers would cancel through paypal and not the site and we wouldn't get it on our end. Not talking huge numbers, but a stray account here and a stray account there... they start to add up over time.
Not only does it throw your numbers off, but when you think about it it's really lost revenue since these members continue on using the site for free, killing the potential revenue from renewals. Again, we're not talking huge numbers, but money is money.
Then you have to deal with doing the audits, and you can't get shit done though paypal because they're PayPal, they don't give a shit what they fucked up, they look at it as the cost you pay for the honor of doing business with them.
In my experience on the service provider end every time that I've dropped paypal any changes in the conversion ratio have been negligable.
I hate paypal. I still pay affiliates with it though but find that to be a double edged sword. It's convenient, but a few times they have frozen accounts for sending large cash sums to people over seas, that's a bitch. Makes your affiliates nervous something's happening to the business, but on the bright side I haven't had money be locked up for any period longer than a week.
