Anyone from UK? How do you get your money in your bank account?

    Hi
    Anyone from UK?
How, and where do you cash in your money? At the moment I am doing it at natwest, cashing in cheques (US Cheques/checks), but they charge me "negotiation fees".

Anyone from UK Got any tips or anything?
    Thanks

Epass is the way to go - not my favorite people at the moment, but at the end of the day it works well for anyone not in the US.

Wire, Epassporte and sometimes I just have to pay the negotiation fee on checks.. If you are doing really well, you could speak to your bank about getting a multi currency account, which /might/ get you around the negotiation fees.

You may want to look at an offshore US currency bank account, they might not charge you the fee then, but they might take 45 days to clear.

HSBC, Barclays and Citi all do US$ accounts but they all want a min balance at all times, from £2k - £4k. If you're ok with this then go for one of them.

From memory the Citi account has the lowest level.

I'm with natwest as well. At the moment i just withdrawl via epass [atm] then deposit cash into the account. You could open a currency account with them, or just have it wired directly into your account which is significantly faster... although natwest have fucked up 3 wires before. I.E Instead of $1000 they depositied £1000.. which locked my funds up for a good 3 days before shouting at them to get it fucking sorted. R-Tards

Barclays charges are quite reasonable and the currency negotiation is quicker than banking a UK cheque..... go figure?
                      I don't endorse a god damn thing......
