After a 2 month investigation Canadian human rights lawyer David Matas and former secretary of state for the Asian region David Kilgour have accused dozens of Chinese hospitals of improprieties involving organ thefts from living prisoners.
The men claim unwilling prison inmates are being dissected alive by Chinese military doctors to supply a growing trade in human body parts. Members of the Falungong religion seem to be the main source of the organs.
Fears are that cuts in government funding are fueling the trade. China is denying the accusations.
