    Affiliates please take this poll

    Hey guys and gals, we are having a bit of a discussion wondering about our newsletter. Currently we send out a news letter each week on Wednesday. This newsletter gives any important company news we have, which news tools we have added for our affiliates and of course a new set of FHGs that we are putting out that week. But now we are wondering which day of the week to send them out where our affiliates can use them best and if we should change how often we send them out. Please take the poll (you can choose both the day of the week and the frequency) it would be very helpful and appreciated.

                                  Don't send newsletters with FHGs. Not ever. If you run a program, you're expected to be creating content regularly. It's your job! How would you like it if each of your affiliates sent you a newsletter describing the mundane day-to-day tasks they have to do? Affiliates almost universally hate FHG "newsletters."

                                                  I get weekly FHG from most sponsors but never use them because they are not in a format I can use. Now if.... each sponsor gave me the option to choose my output format in the newsletter then I would use them.

                                                              does everyone realize that they can simply opt out of receiving our newsletters if they do not want to get them. Heck they can contact me or Alex and we can unsubscribe them ourselves if that's what they want. We do not send out the newsletters to be spam or a pain in anyone's ass, it is a convenience that actually I have gotten a lot of positive feedback from.

                                                              I do have one webmaster who has asked that the FHGs be delivered to them in a specific way and each week they get a separate e mail from me containing the new FHGs they way they want them

                                                                              Why not opt in rather than opt out? I signed up with many sponsors before the FHG newsletter craze and now I have to visit some sponsor who I haven't promoted in years who keeps sending me emails filled with links that I never asked for. I have an account with most sponsors in the business. Imagine how many of those emails I get. Imagine how many times I have to go opt out. It's annoying and a hassle.

                                                                                  Thats a very good idea, I will talk to the guys and see if we can add a check box or something to our sign up page.

                                                                                      I voted for fortnightly.
                                                                                      I have a pile of unopened newsletters from different sponsors which I leave just in case I need them, but in the end I usually delete them because a new one has arrived.

                                                                                      The newsletters do remind me the sponsor still exists
                                                                                      But I usually log in and get the fhgs rather than take them from the emails.
