I live in Victoria - our cops have nothing to do all day but push homeless people around and give out jaywalking tickets. When they have a chance to burn off some un-used testosterone they take advantage.

It happens all the time in Toronto too. Where I live we have to deal with the Peel Police. They're notorious for being more gangster then the gangsters.

I'm not anti Police. I'm anti Police brutality. Just seems more and more cops that join the force are just there to stomp heads. Has nothing to do with server and protect anymore. I've met some pretty decent cops, but most of them are just fucking assholes.

In Russia it's a usual way of how the police works. These videos are being shown in police reality TV shows as a good example of their "job". They get you down, kicking you many times till you stop moving, put handcuffs on you and it's done!

Here is an example. The Russian cops just confused two Porshes (there are many of 'em in Moscow) and stopped a wrong guy while the real criminal was yet 2 blocks away:

They start out young and eager to serve the public. They quickly become jaded - drift into their cop clicks - feel it is them against us. They loose perspective on what their role is and feel they are above the law because they are the law. I have endless examples.

They could use a make over followed by a PR campaign to bring them back onto the same page with the public. Especially in a non-violent town like Vic.
