Is there any possible way to create something once that will work on both Windows and Macs? If not is there a method to sort of "copy" or "translate" your work into another program so you don't have to start it again from scratch for another OS?

It's called porting. Haven't dealt with that, hopefully someone can help you out.

I noticed while searching Google there seems to be a plethora of app creating.. apps now. I'm trying to find out which one is the one someone would really want to be using. Appcelerator does look nice though.

There are a few alternatives.

1. Python (Cross Platform)
2. Adobe Air (Cross Platform)
3. Mono - (C#, Cross Platform)

If you want to do mac only there is Objective-C, but you can also use the pyobjc bindings or the rubyobjc bindings.

Ok so I'm checking out Titanium, and while trying to signup it says there is no internet connection (false), but after trying again it says my email is taken.. so anyways after logging in it doesn't connect the first time but then does the 2nd time. Then I try creating a new project and it freezes on just clicking the first listbox... oh and I started watching the first tutorial vid and they're having trouble with it in THAT? What is going on here?
