Milwaukee, WI was a nice place to live. Reasonable.

Why would anyone rent a house? It's a buyer's market right now and you can get a house at a somewhat decent price. I know the housing market isn't what it used to be, but you can buy a house, sit on it for a few years, and still take home a modest profit in a few years.

I bought my house here in Northern California six months ago and it was just appriased at $90k more than we paid for it.

Same here. House increased in equity over 70k in less than 2 years, and still continues to climb.

Denver has some nice suburbs - but they really like smoking weed over there so be careful for that.
