I never eat over it but last time I turned mine upside down a load of crumbs fell out. One of the cleaners at work reckoned they put keyboards in a dishwasher but I really couldn't tell if she was winding me up or not.

When I used to smoke, it would look like some volcanic ash fallout when I upended the keyboard and gave it a good shake every other day.

These days, just a few crumbs every week or so.

I am not a mysophobe and I don't have OCD. I will eat food off the floor if its within the 5 second rule. I just have a phobia about things that your (and others) hands touch all day every day. I like to have the freedom of knowing while I'm eating a sandwich and changing channels on the TV there is nothing getting mixed in with my food.

My keyboard is disgusting. I think I have 4 years on it now and its so dirty that you can't even see a couple of the letters. At this point I think it's better to just leave it alone because I'm afraid I might kill the micro civilization that's most likely living on it.
