It was a really kick ass place 8 - 10 years ago. Now there are just too many fucking tourists and it has lost the true "exotic" feel it once had. Wish you could have seen it then.

Thats the reason I came back home last month, just a glut of tourists in Patong in December and Jan.

IT IS!!!! And that's exactly the problem.

I have to leave in the high season (now) because of the amount of tourists that pour in. It really makes for an unpleasant time. I will go home in about a month when they start to leave. :-)

i see ppl here eating them all the time, never once heard of anyone dying from them, they arent THAT nasty either, i'd think eating animals is more gross than eating insects
