like someone was saying on the internet, they portray him as broke and pennyless, yet he did something like 17 paid jobs, big and small movies during the time frame of this documentary, it's why they call it scripted reality. -
tonight he said he made $400k on the movie he did when he got out of rehab. But he also said that he had debt collections up the ass .. from cars and house that forclosed and credit never paid. I beleive he making cash but has a long way to go to be well off again .. plus he gets the for VH1 to shoot it. Danny got $300K for season 1 and 3 times that for season 2. he'll be ok if he can stay clean ..

Yes it was.
Scripted reality or not. That's some crazy shit to watch. When you see him talking about a comeback, and all this mess. You are thinking, "WTF. Great actor, but who wants all this madness".
I have heard on some of the roles he was on, like Saving Private Ryan, there were clauses in his contract, and insurance taken out because of his drugs and alcohol. Something to the effect if caught using, he could be fired, etc.
Regardless,.. it's sad to see a good actor (and fellow Michigander) going through this madness in front of millions.

Sizemore had other infamous, well-publicized run-ins with the law. He was caught using a fake penis sewn into his boxer shorts and filled with a clean urine sample kept warm by a heating pack to fool his drug tests. The temperature of the urine sample proved too cool to have come from his body, and he was asked to remove his pants. Sizemore had been caught once before trying to use a similar device, sold over the Internet under the brand name the ?Whizzinator?, and had failed drug tests on at least five occasions. Sizemore failed two drug tests on the days following the fake penis incident showing he had methamphetamine in his system.
