So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants

My daughter , knowing all about gfy, came up with one pic of her that I could post on gfy of her, LOL, the temperture was -2 degrees when she mustered in the morning, it was about 15 degree's in this picture, Great Lakes is a wonderful place this time of year!!! shame on me for what? as much as we need people to serve in the armed forces we also need people keeping the economy going to keep the war machine stocked with goodies. im still young to be a parent and i would be of no service to the military. i'm not the kind of person that would excel in that kind of controlled enviroment.you don't know you're wearing a leash if you sit by the peg all day..Comment

Congrats on your daughters completion of boot camp and commitment to serve her country during these tough times. As a product of the Army ROTC program, I'll think she'll find her training and experience beneficial to her future life.

Our best wishes to your Sailor & Family. Our son is also in the Navy, being trained in the West Coast and I can't tell you how Proud we are that he is flourishing in the enviornment.
It's been 28 days since he has called his Mother .. but like you .. we raised him to be his own person, the Navy has added the polish, and he carries himself like a man. LOL! Even if he still looks 16. Lordy those uniforms!Comment

Couple things...
Those who serve provide you the freedom to not have to work in a structured environment...and I do not doubt... and I believe the one point you made worth making was that you would be of no value to the armed forces.
There are no high horses when it comes to being proud of your kids. Clearly you have some areas in your past that makes you feel resentment when parents sing the praises of a child's success or accomplishments. I could not be more serious when I suggest you look at your statement and consider taking a long look at yourself and what problems you should work to resolve.
Whether you know it or not... you have a lot of revealing frustration and sadness and it reflects in your comments.
Do not be diluted with thinking you are doing yourself any favors with your comments in this thread. You are polarizing your reputation. I am sure you will come back with the stock comments of not needing anyone and you’re a self made wealthy tycoon etc...
The reality is you have taken center stage making absurd comments in a thread where several of the people reading and posting are veterans of the armed forces and veterans of this industry. I digress to earlier comments I have made... "Know when to keep walking".
It has little to do with controlling who posts and more to do with standing ground and not backing off. Those in this thread have chosen to draw the line and let sharp, articulate, and mature responses make a point that not every drive by mouthy ass punk comment will be ignored and tolerated.
Your attempt to look like the hip cool cat by coming in and taking the unpopular side of the debate on this topic has now left you in a position of drowning...trying to save your dignity...which would have been avoided if you had just...
