I used to love to make a fake paysite and then submit a password to all the password sites and as soon as I saw people coming in, I'd switch the inside of the site to just a page full of banners and laugh all the way to the bank.

Xpics was one of my first sponsors back in the 90's. Made a lot of money with them. When they folded everyone was worried about being paid. They paid me every cent they owed me after they closed. Was a nice relationship.

Amazing, about 2 months ago I was checking my sites for links. Found 1 old Xpics link still on the site. Missed that one in the removal so many years ago. :-((

AVS traffic was good, it was good for me to redirect to them and make a killing. They cancelled my account eventually.. then they hired me to track down fraud

Yep, good times. Then we got lucky with our timing going into the security and
server tech in 1998-2000, just as the easy money started to simmer down.

Of course we found out that Xpics only paid for about half the clicks you sent,
but still it was easy money.
