not a specific theme - i try to match woods in the same rooms so not a mish mosh. i buy stuff based on how comfortable it is. I have seen some really cool modern furniture but I can't see myself on a rigid chair. I'm more the lie down on the couch person to watch tv so everything is nice but not too traditional.

One of the coolest condos I saw while living in Miami had a Japanese anime theme. The furniture was very sleek and modern -- low sofas, boxy furniture with defined lines, etc. The colors were mostly primary colors -- a lot of white, some blue, and red. But the art on the walls is what defined the space. There was an anime girl triptych, a Bruce Lee photo that was rendered like a painting (not sure what that's called), several other anime paintings. It looked like the sort of apartment that Quentin Tarantino would love to live in.
I'm not even into anime, but I loved it and you could tell that it was totally their vision. Very neat.Comment

Yes, my house is both Edwardian & Early Victorian themed. With the exception of a modern kitchen & appliances as well as a few other modcons about the place.
Wooden floorboards, small chandeliers, Edwardian door fittings, oak styled funriture/tables and other assorted era brick a brack.
