I'm not sure if you can follow along with logic and reason but I'll give it a try anyways. Shoehorn wasn't "fucked over". It was a small amount of money and he got paid in the end. It's not like Dirty D was picking through affiliates saying "Yeah we'll just kill this account, woohoo $300 more for us!!!".
DirtyD has being paying many affiliates lots of money for quite some time. You can look at ANY major affiliate program and find one or two-of examples of people having problems. If I had to disqualify every program that converts really well for me on the basis of one or two minor issues, I'd be leaving so much god damned money on the table it'd be ridiculous.
