i never got to ride dirtbikes when i was a kid, the folks said no dice. most my riding buddies grew up on dirt bikes, they can do more *stuff* than i can, wheelies, crazy burnouts, etc.
i'd like to be able to do that sort of thing on occasion but it's not in the cards, i like to keep both wheels on the ground and with the price of tires i tend to not do burnouts.

I started on the dirt. My parents hated it, but agreeing to let me bring a dirt bike with me was the only way they could get me to come on family vacations.
When I was 18 my dad thought he got me off bikes when he reminded me that I could be let go for any reason [within the first 90 days] from my new job, so he suggested I stop riding at least until my 90 days was up.
He got his wish. I stopped riding dirt bikes and got a 1942 "4-5" almost immediately after the 90 days passed.
