I've been riding for over 30 years, and yes, I'm 40. My newest bike has ABS and it sucks.
If you need to stop right away, the bike won't let you. Although I ride my bikes as if I am riding my dirtbikes, but they are bikes and need to stop on a dime.
If you are one to ride in the rain, you should know how slippery the roads get. I used to love burning out through all gears in the rain, that is why I won't ride the ABS bike in the rain. It kills half the fun.
