    I think i just hung up on my insurance agent, dont you hate when people butcher your

    name?

    One thing i cannot stand is when someone calls my house and butchers my last name, to me there is nothing more disrespectful then to call me in the middle of the day at my home, disturb me and on top of it butcher my name.

    I guess i wont be getting a claim on my car today.

    If they are CLOSE i will let it slide, but when they totally butcher my name i normally just hang up.

              or when your insurance agents employee calls you to offer other services. Apparently state farm has an investment branch and I get these cold type calls from his office to set up appointments. Normally would never answer such calls but caller id said it was from local office so id answer.

                  i totally agree. it used to happen to my housmate all the time when I would answer. I'd always say "if you can't even pronounce my name how do you expect to sell me something?"

                      agreed, isnt the polite thing to do is admit you are not good at pronouncing last names and ask how to say it properly?

                      she sat there and said 5 different saying none which were even close to the proper pronounciation.

                      and my name is not even difficult to say with anykind of effort.
