Because the poor man filmed a younger girl that gave fake id. It is possible for this to happen to anyone & to be honest I have seen some models that I would swear were under 18, especially on TGPs of Eastern girls.

Ok, both of you. You are quite right. I was a door supervisor on club doors a few years back & most definatly would have been in trouble letting younger girls in even with fake ID.
& yes TheDA, a little caution never harmed anyone. I ask for Driving license, utility bill & passport.

They get a warning and fine because it's a Class A misdemeanor. This is a much more serious offense (and all the more reason to be 100% sure of who you are shooting).
I'm talking about legal defense (which doesn't change based on the severity of the crime). Being duped by a fake ID is not a legal defense that will stand up in court.Comment

If I came to you with 2 or 3 id certs stating im 18, you would believe myself, especially if I was just a few months younger than 18.
It is possible, but obviously as said above. I said no to entry of anyone I didnt believe. I know for a fact that a cpl slipped the net.
As Stickyfingerz said though.... this isnt just a few underage pints. Its a life. its a hard courtcase decision that I wish DirtyD the best of luck if he followed stringent checks.Comment

If you are sailing that close to the wind with models I would strongly advise that you take care. I have never been shown a fake UK passport in this business in 30 years and as a producer I have a duty of care to make sure that I only ever shoot legal models.Of course, I had already said a few posts back. ? I said this originally as I was thinking anyone could get lots of fake id. I have said in the posts above, due to working on the door in a few clubs. I agree with TheDA & PocketKangaroo that this should not happen & fake ID is not a reason to have younger than legal working for any production company.

Passports are rarely used in the US. We use state issued ID's & drivers license. Here's one scenario - What would happen if an underage model went to the registry with a 18+ friend's info and obtained a real ID with their picture but with their 18+ friend DOB etc.

It's quite a process. First you need to send a notarized request for an official birth certificate. Then you must send the notarized birth certificate request to the county in which you were born. You must fill out and submit a long form that authorizes the US Government to do a background check on you, and submit along with that the official birth certificate. In addition you submit photos that are taken by a 3rd party Passport photo company that you include with the application and official birth certificate.
The over-all cost is about $130 USD.
It's a major pain in the ass.
