Better memory management and cache I suppose. Some users noticed the previous 32-bit version stutter a bit with Snow Leopard. It's styled more for the Mac now, and you can edit the look with css, etc.- Free Premium Domain Lists and Tools at Clickmojo.com

Oh definitely, it's the only thing that can accurately play MKVs with subtitles as well... I used to use it exclusively but after I started using Boxee I was hooked... I really like being able to have a queue for movies that includes my Netflix account, Crunchy Roll (I watch one show but still like to queue it), local media files, etc... all in one place.
