Sorry, here comes a big newbie question ....do people really get sales from buying traffic from traffic brokers? Or is the traffic you buy mostly to feed trade programs or something? I'm considering buying traffic for my main blog Cuckolded Husbands in the near future and was wondering if I can expect maybe a sale or two.

buying skimmed traffic is mainly to boost new sites/trades but if you buy clicked text links/banners where the visitor arrives from a link where the description matches the exact content they will find after clicking your sales ratio will be higher. I would take a clicked text link or banner over skimmed anyday. You can also take it a step further and geo target the source so all the traffic you buy only comes from good countries that have a higher probability of being able to make a credit card charge.

www.ero-advertising.com offers this also AND then you can still add a filter on countries, languages within a country, Pagerank of the refferal can de set (example 2), mobile (down to the phonetype) or just web traffic (or both). Then add the ero-ads ROI pixel on your payment landing page to see what sites bring you best conversions. Later you can tweak this to the optimal point that works for you.

Text links are the only way for me. Banners are good for clickthroughs but IMO the surfers see too many of these so they back out again. I'm finding some well placed text is a key factor for generating sales.
