I think that the lesson here is that when you find a hot new model that is important enough to you to make a whole solo site or a movie series around, you gotta shoot her as much as you need right away and get the product out asap. If she is that hot, why wait? Qon, that started back at the very start. This business has always been about how much you can put over on the other guy, how much can be shaved off the affiliates and the totally smirk of laughter at the end when a program can buy peice with a beer, dinner, or a bottle of something for christmas.
Goes all the way back to the very start... There are people here who will remember Xpics raising payouts and the shave rate side by side... the rate of pay would go up 20%, and the shave would go up 30%. In the end, they were paying insane amounts of money per unqiue (like 18 to 20 cents) but the shave was so high that it was almost like the affiliates owed them money at the end of the week.
It hasn't gotten any better since.
I am not condoning the acts, just telling it like it is. IMHO, it isn't the nicest thing done, but we aren't talking about a piece of meat here, but a model, and a model who apparently didn't feel any commitment towards the first one in the door.Comment

I keep thinking about prized talent in other entertainment based businesses: pro sports, high fashion modeling, the pop music industry... feirce battles over hot new recruits happen in those arenas all the time.
DWB, Seeing that an exclusive contract was not enforceable in Thailand, was there any agreement/promise made between the model and yourself that she was exclusive with you from the get go. I know you can't entirely trust models to keep there word, but she bears the responsibility of breaking her loyalty to you if that was the case.

What agenda do I have? I am neither a Sponsor or an Affiliate. I am 100% independent. I have nothing to gain no matter how this issue goes.
I don't shoot illegally in 3rd world countries, I pay top dollar to legally shoot Asian girls in the U.S. It's a different niche, because my models don't look all 3rd world like yours.

Marty wants to make a financial solution to this and quickly sweep it under the rug. In order to do so, I need to feel in my heart that he will not do this again to me, before I can even think about trusting another word out of his mouth. I tried very hard in private to deal with this but failed and had to choice other than to come forward and go public.
If I let him off the hook on this, he may fuck me again or some of our other friends over there. People in the past rolled over and let him do this to them, I am not one of those people. And yes, it does require negative energy to continue this, and negative energy is something I do not like to surround myself with, but I feel I need to stay the course on this one and do what is right for not only me, but for the people before me, and the ones after.
Also, we all live in a small city there. We see each other all the time. This has to be set right for the living environment of all of the group of guys over there or it's going to cause a lot of waves.Comment

Same shit happened to me (by someone else). Sometimes people imitate what they cant do themselves. I actually laugh at it now because i see how pathetic this person and his program is. I recall me telling him all my ideas after being forewarned mind you by 3-4 others. And, to top it off, I remember sitting in another webmasters basement and this guy trying to talk me out of opening a program. What can you do besides take it on the chin and laugh.

I live in Thailand and we have model contracts in Thai and English to satisfy 2257 needs.... but, a model contract cant be produced here for obvious reasons.
Dont know the players in this but those of us in Asia normally respect each others business. I dont blame the girl but the guy who came in under you is just plain wrong.
