same here. no activation email and i've got no spam filter, using my own server aadress. i suggest you to check and fix, because i suppose that many people won't have the patience to contact you and being activated manually. as a forum user, it can be very frustrating to register and not to get confirmation email

All accounts activated manually.
It seems about half the sign ups are getting e-mails. I'll change the settings later and see if it makes any difference. I'll be transferring everything over to VBulletin in a couple of days anyway, once I get a skin sorted.

OK, I've activated the two that didn't get e-mails and have turned off e-mail verification until I switch over to VBulletin so there shouldn't be any problems now.
17 signups and not one post yet, not even an introduction, I'm giving you a chance to advertise your sites for free. Once I've switched over to VB and have everything set up I will be promoting this heavily, so you're going to get good exposure out of it. I just wanted to get some content up to give people a reason to stay around.Comment

Quick reply is a user option in SMF, but once I swap to VB It'll be there all the time.
As for breaking GFY rules, my board doesn't step on their toes at all. GFY is for webmasters and my site is for end users. I just need something to keep my users interested when they sign up, which is why I'm looking for content. I'm certainly not spamming, which I presume is the rule you are referring to.Comment

Thank you to everyone who signed up, 20 members so far. However only two people have posted, don't waste this free advertising opportunity. For those of you thinking that you'll wait and see how it goes before committing time to posting, we are already receiving 150-250 uniques a day. so there's plenty of people looking around.
