I have repeatedly said that in my opinion the idea of a personal God is a childlike one. You may call me an agnostic, but I do not share the crusading spirit of the professional atheist whose fervor is mostly due to a painful act of liberation from the fetters of religious indoctrination received in youth. I prefer an attitude of humility corresponding to the weakness of our intellectual understanding of nature and of our own being.

So religious people are stupid because of that statement? That's great. FYI, not all religious people are extremists who try to push their ideas on others (kind of like you are doing here). And I've said it before and I'll say it again, people who are very anti-religious seem to portray the same negative characteristics of the same fanatics they claim to detest.

Science does not explain how people read minds and science says psychics are impossible. Science does not explain mind control and thoughts flying from one head to another. What good is that?

All science does, is it says which things are impossible.

That's not possible.

No he's not. I don't see a lot of atheists trying to push their viewpoint on others thru the court system, or by knocking on doors, or sending missionaries to other countries. He's saying that as a human being, he doesn't know what's on the other side and he thinks it's presumptive for ANYONE to claim that knowledge. That statement would make me squirm a hell of a lot more if I were pushing some kind of religious viewpoint than if I were an atheist.
