Doesn't anyone Know this?

A simple way would be to have a link on site "Click here bookmark".. The moment someone clicks on it, it gets recorded

If someone directly uses ctrl + D then I don't know how to track.

But it actually can be done by making a script which records the IP whenever someone uses the key combination of ctrl+D

thanx sexykat...i do have those links, but where do i check to see if these links are getting clicked on? Where are they recorded at?

I assumed bookmarkers are just returning visitors in your stats.

A few ways to do it... It is NEVER exact though
For example, by making a "bookmark this" link bookmark a url such as http://example.com/?camefrom=bookmark

Another way is to take a high % (or even 100%) of uniques without referers

(oh and of course, do something like this (php)

if ($_GET['camefrom'] == "bookmark") {
// update your stats thing however you do it to indicate +1 hit from someone who bookmarked your site
}

not sure if this is what you was asking for, but i think one serious way can be to check referrers in your stat, if anyone cam to you from any click, you see from where, if someone clicked from bookmark, he have to be no referrer. maybe this can help. have luck, TC
