"Mad Libs" Style Form Increases Conversion 25-40%

    Interesting test case here:

    http://www.lukew.com/ff/entry.asp?1007

Summary: what happens when we make a form in a "narrative" style versus a linear style?

I want access to blah.com right now! Make my username ________ and my password ______. My email address is ________.
    Thoughts?

Does CCBill offer a form like this, or do you have to make one yourself?

I loved Mad Libs. They were so entertaining as a child, I got my oldest one for Christmas last year.

Now back to topic at hand ...

You should be able to do that, just create a pre-form with the fields you want to pass in along with all the other goodies... but I don't know if the passed in fields will turn off on the cc page like they do on standalone programs.

I have my wife roll mine... outside of that, I just find a join page with a steady ratio and show this to U.S. traffic only. Then I track errors, submit ratios, joins, returns, cascades, etc.

Nothing fancy but I can track it down to unique things like: The % of people that buy after a username error. Which I think will be a factor, it's not going to be as easy to display error messages in the mad libs format.

Ah nice catch.... on another note, wouldn't it be awesome if there were some standard for presenting form validation errors? Always a pain, especially when dealing with translations, when "Username too short" is "Flikkidyskoobin dinglingberrybaken Skyttttlewich McDooz" in Finnish

What works for one person doesn't mean it won't work for another... or even a different tour on the same site.
