Several councils in Sydney, Australia are paying private investigators thousands of dollars to sleep with call-girls to gather evidence of illegal brothels operating within their jurisdiction.
Nine councils have so far paid $25,000 to encourage detectives to sleep with prostitutes over the past three years, whereas Ku-ring-gai council has spent $7000 in one month to accomplish this "necessary" task.
One detective explained how he was charged $70 for half hour session of an "all inclusive full service" he continued "Once the sex was over I was told that if I came back next week I would only have to pay $60 for a half hour sex instead of $70."
