    I was thinking about having a contest

    I was thinking about having a contest to celebrate my 50,000 post. I was talking to goodgirl about it, and suggested that maybe I could have people guess the date and time it would happen, and we could give away some free hosting or something.

    She was concerned that people would accuse me of manipulating the time so that a friend would win it. I like to think that you guys trust me more than that (even those that don't particularly care for me). However, I am open to suggestions.

    Anyone?

                              well.. considering you need 175 more posts at time of this writing & you average 23.08 posts per day, so, my guess is 5 days from now...so, I'll say thursday evening, around 9:30pm est.. unless of course you debate with someone for a couple hours tonight, or tommorow.

                                                                                  The problem is, like gg said, it would be too easily manipulated. Even if you don't think you are, every post you make, you'll be looking at how many there are to go, so this has to affect your posting habits.

                                                                                  The only way for it to work is for TD to blank out your post count, that way nobody knows where you are at, and no subconcious post rates will sway the balance...
