What skin color did the first humans have?

My homies and I just had a crazy weed session with my cousin and homies and my cousin was talking about how he is a member of a religion that believes black people were the first people on earth directly put here by god, then some black dude named Yakub created white people as a science experiment. He really believes this shit. But almost every other person I spoke with about this tonight also believe black people are the original humans minus the retarded science experiment story.

Me, I don't know what to think. I never cared much about this subject ever... but this weed had me thinking that if we evolved from some other type of primates then how were black people here first? Don't all other primates have light skin under their fur?

What do you guys think or know? Spare the racism please...

Pale, perhaps even GINGERS! Sucks huh?
      http://www.sciencemag.org/cgi/content/abstract/1147417

Dark skin appears to be an adaptation to climate. People living in the tropics need more skin pigment to protect them from intense rays of the sun, while people living closer to the earth's poles have paler skins to absorb more sunlight. People with black skins also live near the equator in India and Australia. It's been estimated that it took roughly 20,000 years for skin color to change from black to white as humans spread north out of Africa.

your homies must be into that nation of islam/farrakhan/5% black muslim theology for talking about that yakub stuff. if you replay some old wutang clan albums you'll hear the same stuff reworded about how white people were genetically grafted albinos etc etc. keep smokin that kush

from a science standpoint 2 pale white snowbunnys under most normal circumstances are not going to be able to create a black tarbaby so theyres your simple answer. as for all mammals having pink skin underneath your fur you're on your own with that one.

Around the time period where archeologists make the designation of the current human as "homo sapiens" there was an ice age so they became pale.

Later as civilization was born in mesopotamia and the climate warmed generations became darker skinned, those moving to northern climates became more pale.

the oldest known human bones were found somewhere in africa but yeah... color is all based on climate. white people from the dreay northern islands, black people from the scorching africa, some brown people inbetween...

there is a theory called "the Black Eve" that says first humans were black.

Honestly I am undecided. Studies on evolution are always providing new and sometimes surprising information so human origin theories are always changing and evolving themselves.

From what they are saying now, our DNA is originaly coded for brown eyes and brown hair. Other eye and hair color are gene mutations either caused by climate adaptation or from inbreeding.

They have found some neanderthals in Europe to have light skin and red hair, so it may be possible early humans did as well. If I had to guess, I would say the base gene for skin color / melanin production is probably something in between what we think of as black and white, maybe something akin to medeteranian / middle eastern complexion- ancestors to the north developed paler and ancestors to the south develped darker.

As for what colors monkees are under their fur, the closest relative to us on the monkey chain is the chimpanzee, and they really aren't white or black, they have speckled pigmentation almost like freckles. Here are some bald chimp pics so you can see what I mean.

the first men on earth where probably black, or at least tan skinned, if you see black skin is a bit thicker than white skin and has a bigger resistant to sun rays. they didn´t where any cloth so their skin was dark to avoid being fried by the sun rays in the "summer". then the weather change and they lived sorrounded by snow and cold, which made their skin get more pale to absorb sun rays more easily and keep their bodies a bit warmer. of course all this took millions of years to happen, but is´n it amazing how the human body adapts to the weather conditions?
No! I don´t work for SPACash anymore so stop asking.

here's my tin-foil theory how monkeys became humans:

it was about that time that monkey got on two foot and strated exploring land fields of Africa. they say that reason that brains of monkeys at that time started growing due to increased protein with meat food and it maybe so. what i think gave us opportunity to use brain more effectivly is a diet of psychedelic mashrooms growing freely in the fields of Africa. it may have exploded brain activity - which may have effected conscience, self awareness and imagination which led to better communication, language development, finding creative ways to hunt and live and seeding belief system which then became religion.

i think i know where you're going with this;)
do they grow freely now - yes, and not only in Africa
does anything eat them now - don't know, some bacteria and worms probably, don't know about mammals
why only us? this can only be speculated - circumstantial evens/chemistry/brain development - right place at the right time perhaps? with so many stars and planets, life is a very rare thing in universe - what were odds for life flourish here on earth? it seems almost like it happened incidentally, although if life on earth was brought here with water - that's completely different subject altogether.
same happened with intelligent conscience - at some point there we none and then only one species got serious advantage over other species, would be ironic if push to that gave change in diet which opened developing mind/conscience/self awareness to new levels throu hallucinogenic effects )

Fish are what made our brains evolve, not mushrooms lol. In fact, humans will probably never lose their attraction to shiny things, particularly men. It's so embedded in our reptilian brain and useful just in case we do see the end of our civilized world.

And what does it matter what skin color we started with? Though I think skin color has always been as diverse as it is now, because humans didn't all originated in one place. It's not like a switch flipped and suddenly everyone's walking around. Everything adapted by our ancestors wasn't exclusive to one group of people in one specific region. People traversed the landscape way back then, and as such met new groups of people and things were shared and spread out among many different peoples.

Yes, the popular opinion was that Africa was the cradle of our evolution - but the climate there wasn't as it is now. One of the theories for why we are bipeds now is because we often reached for food in trees rather than climbing them. This hints at abundance, which further illustrates that in fact it wasn't a hot, dry or desert landscape that would dictate our skin color.

Then again, I personally don't believe Africa was where everything came from - I think that is where the evolutionary process was most dominant but I believe human evolution was a global phenomenon, nature's plan is something we've never been able to figure out.

Then let's not forget about the extinct Neanderthals - what skin color were they? Evidence dictates that both Homo neanderthalensis and Homo sapiens neanderthalensis co-existed and were somehow on the same evolutionary scale....

now seriously, I was seeing a documentary about the Leakey family just a few days ago where they were saying skin had to be black or at least a very dark color to be able to handle the Rift Valley heat. Plus, they said something that, if you think about it, makes a lot of sense: where do you draw the line to call a man a man? That's a problem for the whole scientific community and there's no agreement at all on the subject.
