We have only been able to do for the last 30 years.

Says who? What's your bench mark for this? Just because we have come further in the last 100 years than in the last 3000 doesn't mean a thing, we're still ignorant to so much.

What's your point? We have only just been able to force nuclear fusion. There's a lot more to doing something than simply knowing how it works.

At the moment, yes.

Do you understand what science is? We have science to learn about our universe. Science isn't a concept that comes out of thin air and answers all the questions. Science is the process of finding things out that we do not yet grasp through a logical and rational manner.

Religion runs on faith. There's no evidence, there's no proof, it's blind faith.

Science runs on logic. There's evidence, proofs, it's a logical system to acquiring knowledge.

The idiocy of some people astounds me. Science is the most important advance to come about in the last 100 years and we've only just scratched the surface. Religion runs on "we believe this, although there's no evidence for it" and science runs on "we don't understand this, let's test it, find the answer and draw a rational conclusion from our results".
