I bought my first server with Godaddy, it is still active today. I have never had so many problems with the 10+ servers I have purchased since. BUT the sites on their server rank incredibly well and don't want to risk moving them elsewhere.

On another note if you are just looking for something cheap, hostgator.com is decent. I have mainly dedicated server spread amongst many hosts but do use hostgator for some smaller projects. If you use the coupon CHEAPHOSTING you get the first month for $0.99 (if I remember correctly).

Their support are dumb India guys that have no idea about anything. At least their email support.

I would recommend either looking at www.hostgator.com for support, they are pretty 24/7 and well adjusted prices.

Or, personally, if you want a host that offers you top quality 24/7 uptime with incredible support www.adulthosting.com

Both companies offer you server transfer at no costs too.
