The finnish are rather good at that, because there's nothing else for kids in the countryside to do than to take their unlicensed car and drive along narrow sandroads in the middle of the forests like fucking maniacs;)..and I'm off.Comment

yes, the flying finn's are always quite impressive. they got their asses beat in the drivers title last season though by a frenchie though.
i am excited to see this season. mitsubishi will be back in manufacturer 2 catagory, suzuki is unveiling their new rally car, and sebastian loeb will be back driving the new citroen c4.
it's gonna be a fucking wicked opening weekend in monte carlo, and it all starts in just over a day.Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war.Comment

hey this is a fact I race my 91 jimmy in scca autocross and rally 1 and 2... I always get into arguments with people I tell em I can stick my 2 year old in a car and tell him to step on the gas and drive straight or in a circle.. but rally.... I should take a screen shot of my firefoxtool bar it goes .. stats, wrc, then my sites hahahaComment

Rally drivers have a "map reader" next to them shouting notes to them.
"200 left, right, fast, jump" etc.. they follow them to the letter or off they go into the spectators.
Of course the drivers are talented as fuck, but the reader is damn important as well.

The cop can rave all he likes about his Corvette chipped engine, that bmw pulled away uphill much faster than he could, out-braked him and in the end out swerved him. To be honest, the kid pretty much out-drove him across the board. Shame the car failed in the end.Comment
