The problem is that the cost price doesn't matter nearly as much as the viable price point (the amount the consumer is
willing to spend). At a certain point, a product becomes no longer fiscally viable.
Edit: I agree with Nicky that a price point of around $50 may produce more interest while softening the financial burden.
