can you buy stuff online with Maestro/Cirrus debit cards?

Just wondering since i am switching to bank which offers only Maestro/Cirrus card.. I was able to buy almost anything using the VISA ATM card. Will Maestro/Cirrus work the same way?

not just europe but worldwide , just allows you to access your cash from atms when you travel over seas
so no you can't buy stuff online using a bankcard , a debit card is something different , its a bankcard that is hooked up to the visa network to purchase goods instead of using borrowed money you use the money that is in your account

Maestro is an international EFTPOS system that lets you use your ATM card and existing PIN to purchase goods and services at 4.4 million Maestro retail outlets around the world. Look for the Maestro logo at the shop.

Cirrus is an international ATM network. With your ATM card and existing PIN, you can withdraw cash from your account and obtain account balances (in the local currency) at any overseas ATM with the Cirrus logo
