Amen. Was just thinking the same. You go on some obscure site with some obscure topic and prob not much traffic (to even read the post you are making) and there are 300 replys to one obscure topic.

Noone reads them all but people love chat scripts and everyone loves to spout their opinion. So in essence they are all talking to themselves.

Oh well can't turn back time. These social sites or just a basic interactive chat site where you can spout off, seem to be the thing now days.

It kind of goes with folks now days not being able to put the cell phone down. The current gen seems much more socialable than my gen.

Chatting in any form is a waste of time unless you are promoting something. And then it is pretty much a waste of time too.

But sometimes you do shit for the fun of it I realize.

But at the end of the day chatting anon, without promoting, (which is 99.9% of it) is the biggest waste of time on the internet.

BUT, it is addictive as hell... And I really think folks get a little adrenalin rush. They get off on it you might say.

The psychological reasons are another thread.

Very few guys can sit, or want to sit, in the proverbial dark room alone. Esp now days.

One of these days maybe.. San Fran (as I have said) is the one place in the world that I want to go. And would move to if I was to move anywhere. (I was there as a 12 year old kid but we can't count that.)

I do remember the smell of Fisherman's Wharf, Grahman's Chinese Theatre, The twisting road is it.

Someday hopefully again.. this time though I want to hang in the parks. Since it is not 1969 I guess I won't find no hippies up in Berkeley
