Okay, i saw your President, isn't she hot? Since its visa free for me, where would you suggest going to live in Argentina? I am a city guy but i hate megapolices, lol, so, please, advise me on a suburbian town that has everything to live family style. Thanks!

Suburbs?

I live (part-time) in the suburbs because that's where I'm from, that's where I own a home, and that's where I have family. But if I was choosing a new place to live (and I'm in the process of doing just that for half of the year), I'd choose just about any place *but* the suburbs. Then again, I don't have a family.

For me, the big city *or* a beach *or* a remote area, but please, not the suburbs . . . I've spent too much time in them as it is.

I don't always drink beer, but when I do, I wish I was drinking wine instead.

Buenos aires is the best city if you are looking for hot women, long night parties and any sort of action. if what you are looking for is a calm place to live I´ll suggest you to live in cordoba or moreno which are little towns with litlle population and not any action at all...

B.A. is a great city, though i'm always only there for a couple of nights (i head to s.a. to snowboard in n.a.'s summers). from what i've seen outside b.a., not so great. we take a private car from b.a. to las lenas (remote ski resort in the andes) each year, and even the driver is paranoid/telling us to be sure the doors are locked, etc.

there are security problems like in every place in the world, but there are certain places that might be dangerous (usually around South and West Buenos Aires suburbs) and most of Argentina is quite safe. More if we're talking about a trip to Las Leñas, your driver really needed some medication!

As for the question from the OP, North suburbs of Buenos Aires are really cool, lots of night life, really cool places, really great to raise a family and so on. And depending on the place, from 30% to 200% more expensive than Buenos Aires city.

You also have the option of La Plata, a rather big yet not a mega city and only 31 miles from Buenos Aires. It's a really beautiful city, a lot of college people, great for families.

Another good idea is somewhere like Cordoba (you have a mega-city and then the mountains and rivers just driving 10 minutes). I use to go to a small town in Cordoba province called Nono, and work in a relaxed environment: a balcony hanging over the river (if I'm lucky to get those rooms), some great wine and great food... you work and disconnect at the same time. However, I'm an urban animal, I can do (and need to do) that for periods no longer than a week and then I feel too relaxed (as in "bored").

I'd recommend Rosario (Santa Fe)... much smaller (and much more slow-paced) than Buenos Aires, the girls are the most beautiful in the entire country (even I, a monster, can hook up with a cutie every once in a while) . I can't vouch for it's "safety" because you're not safe anywhere in this world (evil grin).

dude, i live to travel (the entire world). and yes, las lenas is about as tame as it gets lol.

mendoza region is cool, but there is a city between mendoza and the andes (can't think of the name), where dude freaked out, and he wasn't the only driver (i've been to the andes every year for the past 5, never had the same driver lol). not san rafael, but close? argh, i can look it up.

For what I heard argentina´s educational level is really good, you´ll probably find some good english schools cause in argentina and uruguay is really common that people speak english almost perfectly cause they learn it since an early age. of course thats in private schools, public schools level is probably a bit lower but its still higher than in other countries private schools.
