Man, I really hate it when sites check for a recip based on some little snippet of HTML.

Twice today I attempted to trade links with people only to have some stupid script say the recip wasn't there.

I use a script myself to send off visitors, which means the recip'd URL ends up as part of a query string variable and these things choke on it.

Sometimes just using your link and adding the requested HTML in a comment helps, when the webmaster checks manually the link is there, the script finds the recip, too, everybody is happy...just make sure to drop them a line, in case they look at your code they'd maybe think you are cheating on first sight.
