AFF's hits vs uniques, wtf?

For the last, maybe two months, I've noticed AdultFriendFinder's uniques being very, very low in comparison to the amount of hits I send them. Usually, hits in are shown to be at least 2-2.5x the amount of uniques. Then, mysteriously, later in the day the hits in are 'adjusted' to be closer in line with the amount of unique hits, but is still off by 25% or so.

This has been confirmed day by day with another site owner, so it's not a completely isolated situation.

Has anyone here noticed this?

I have noticed that the numbers are usually very strange, a lot of the time the raw hits will be double that of the unique hits.

Everyone notices this. The question I ask is: Why do people still promote aff when there are clearly better sponsors out there?

Yeah, and they get adjusted down to something much more reasonable looking after two days, every time.

I've personally also noticed a decline in the amount of uniques getting counted, while my traffic is up significantly and I haven't changed my design much at all.

Same conclusion I came to at the end of last year - give others a go folks, make sure no zango first though That word should be banned round here.

The sad thing is, I have tried other sponsors out, and they simply haven't performed as well as AFF has. That's just even more of a kick in the balls on top of it all, really. If this keeps up until mid-month, and I don't get a real answer as to what the problem is, I'll just put my datinggold or fling links back up and take the earnings hit.

I can understand not using aff because of the zango thing but your gonna take a cut in your earning because the hit vs uniques are weird? The only number you should be worried about is the one that starts with a $

i noticed that too, but i track all my outgoing clicks.. the uniques are fine, it's the raws that are WAY overblown for some reason, then the next day or so it adjusts itself to the true value. so not to worry, but it's weird nonetheless.

This can be the explanation:

A surfer click your link to AFF and the AFF landing page load. You have one hit. But then another page supplied by AFF ( Zango ) cover your landing page without your affiliate code. The surfers cookie is changed. If the surfer enter that page you have only one hit, the rest of the surfers visit goes to AFF. And the income of course.
