That is 100% Correct. I pledged to make a donation. I don' know what Jimmie was thinking he saw me say I was going to give $100 and he felt compelled to match it (out of his own pocket as he put it). When he said he would match it I thought what a great way to get more money for the kids I will bump mine up to $250. Jimmie thinking this was some game wanted to "one up" me and pledged to give $500. He then proceeded to hound me asking if I had made my donation yet. ICE confirmed I sent my money with in 24 hours of making it. Now almost a month later and 17 days after Christmas, Jimmie is blamming his account

Real honest people follow through on doing what they say they going to do, especially when it comes to kids and charity. YOU said you would send the money, not your accountant. Take resonsibility and epass the money to them now.

i'm not on anyones side but that was an invoice not a receipt..
He didnt say he would match invoices he said he would match donations.. so far i havent seen any donations other than will's .. pretty crappy to promise something that is obviously time sensitive... ( i.e. christmas ) and not follow through.. even had the invoice for almost 2 weeks and hasnt paid it or hasnt posted anything anyways.. normally i would assume its crass to ask for "proof" of a donation , but if you go out of your way to ask someone else for proof , they post it within days , and you havent even donated for a month since you made the promise , theres some problems add onto that the fact the promise was made to gfy makes it even more sad.. hopefully the right thing gets done and jim makes up for his tardiness.

I doubt if I am an 'ass chumps' nor have I ever asked for tax advice here. I make donations all the time without an invoice. A receipt of donating to a nonprofit is required or a cancelled check (or proof electronically taken out of one?s bank account).
If we are talking about taxes in the US, the IRS allows 500.00 without documentation. The IRS could care less about an invoice.
An invoice/request for payment is just internal accounting paper work. But you gave me an IDEA, the next time I go to a local store to buy props, I will say I can?t pay you now but please invoice me...on GFY, a lot people said that is how they do business.

Apparently some people need an invoice in order to open their wallet. This is truely sad. I don't know what is worse, that this fucking moron cheated the charity out of the donation he pledged and got praise from people for giving, or that he is here trying to make bullshit excuses about not sending in the donation because of an invoice. ok cheating the charity out of the donation is worse, hands down.
