I did the ULTIMATE ULTIMATE hockey fans experience last night at Kings game..

Last night I got to lead the Kings on the ice for warmups. I stood in the lockerrrom and when Garon came out i was 2nd on the ice and got to skate for like 5 minutes and then did the rest on the bench
Ive been playing hockey for 12 years and been going even longer, sitting on the glass many times. Sitting rink side you see how fast the game really is,, BUT its NOTHING even remotely close to being on the ice with them. And that wasd only warmups.
Granted the whole team is out there so it was a bit confusing for me as I just started doing laps and these guys are fucking fast, big and thier slapshots are like projectiles shot from a rifle.
The best 2 words to describe is EXTREME SPEED. It was an amazing rush. The players really were cool to me. A couple guys gave me a light bump and a wink. They were asking if I was enjoying the experience. I was talking with a couple players right before and they were tellin me enjoy it as they love doing this every day for a living.
ALot of my friends were kidding me asking for bets if I was gonna fall when I came out on the ice.. LOL and i was very careful bout that. LOL But it felt great. SImply my best hockey experience to date, hope to have video soon

I do not see how you could have the ULTIMATE hockey fan expierience when it has anything to do with the LA Kings.

Wow thats awesome.
I'm a huge hockey fan myself, and that would be a real rush.
BTW,
I used to watch Patrick O'Sullivan in junior when he was with the Mississauga Ice dogs, any word in LA of him coming back up from the AHL?
The kid was amazing in junior.

my best hockey experience is meeting all the great former Montreal Canadiens players. My godfather is Henry Richard's son, so we go to hang out in the former player's lounge. I got autographs from steve shutt, mario tremblay, and a few others i can't remember (i was 12yo).

That's fantastic. Must have been such a rush. I'm one of the few SoCal hockey fans (former Flyers girl) so I totally appreciate the experience. For me it would be like getting a part on my favorite TV show!

Wow must have been a great experience...I never did something similar but I played junior and college hockey so got to play with some guys that made it to the NhL....Still play with them during summer so they can stay in shape...We really should do a ice-hockey webmaster game...

Cynthia its totally hard to really put in words what it was like. I mean it wast FAST, POWERFUL You can just feel the power these guys have on the ice. EXTREME INTENSITY.

The best was seeing my buddies on the glass cheering me on and it was cool hi fiving the fans coming out of the tunne

Ooh...some hate here I remember when I was a child my best friend had a Kings sleeve...

Anyway, I like this sport pretty much, the speed and the feeling of the ice, the arena, it means something special for me...never played though...you had quite a great time it seems and I'm happy about it

I'm a bigger fan of NBA, but NHL is great too

No I rent the ice quite regular so they are trying a new thing and asked me to do it 1st as they wanted tio be sure they got a fan who could skate
